Oliver Dennett

 

I am a freelancer in the industry, working prominently in runner and junior researcher roles. From this, the area of the industry I'm most passionate about, is production, including the roles of Floor Manager, PA and the technical role of Engineer. Whilst at university my production won the 'Best Level 5 TV Studio Programme' which was awarded because of the set design, scripting, casting and other production values that made our crew the best. Within radio I'm a skilled knowledgable researcher, who has gained experience with Hits Radio, talkSPORT and BBC Radio Manchester. Having the opportunity to present, produce and conduct research for programmes, broadens my knowledge and experience of Radio as my aspiration is to be a producer.

Due to my work experience at the BBC, Unity Radio and at MKFM I have obtained experience for live radio broadcasts, conducting interviews and vox pops along with creating content for different on-location environments, from Care Homes to live football matches, to collecting online social media data for Sport Relief 2018 and post match interviews for my local football team MK Dons.

 

I'm experienced with a series of software including Adobe Premier Pro, Cubase, Soundcloud, Audacity and Avid. The cameras I've worked with include the Sony FS7, Blackmagic and Sony HXC100 studio cameras.

 

Qualifications within the industry include BA Hons in Television and Radio, achieving a 1st and Level 3 'Creative Media Production' in which I achieved Triple Distinction. I feel I strive to achieve the most out of the tasks set and try my hardest to accomplish the best in what I do in every encounter.
